Shahid Kapoor trying to get back Priyanka's love
A lot of people from the film industry turned up to wish Shahid Kapoor on his birthday on Saturday. Many leading ladies of his films -- including Rani Mukherjee, Anushka Sharma, Genelia D’Souza and Sonam Kapoor -- were there. But conspicuous by her absence was Priyanka, who reportedly had a fight with Shahid and then flew to the US.
Shahid and Priyanka’s perpetually now-on-now-off relationship has been fodder to gossip mills, but sources close to the couple claim that Shahid doesn’t often express his affection for Priyanka and this ticks her off.
That’s apparently also the reason behind their latest tiff, following which Priyanka packed her bags and left to the US, caring not a hoot to return on his birthday on Saturday.
But we hear that Shahid did try to persuade her to change her mind and return to Mumbai for his birthday bash. He kept trying till the last hour, but when Priyanka did not give any bhav, he too gave up.
However, knowing well the history of their blow-hot-blow-cold romance, we won’t be surprised if they kiss and make up soon.

Shahid Kapoor turns 30 today!
We hear, the actor is going to celebrate his birthday at a suburban Italian joint but his ladylove will be conspicuously missing from his side. Rumour has it that the lovey-dovey couple has fought once again and called off their relationship for the umpteenth time.
But knowing how whimsically they make up after every lover’s spat, we won’t be surprised if PC indeed decides to shock Shasha by wishing him personally on the special day.
Shahid has lately been busy shooting for dad Pankaj Kapur’s film Mausam in which he plays an Air Force pilot. The actor recently even flew the American combat aircraft F-16 at an Aeroshow in Bangalore.
Shahid’s last film Milenge Milenge with ex flame Kareena Kapoor tanked at the box office but he tasted success with the Yash Raj film Badmaash Company last year. Now, with Mausam he’s hoping to add another hit movie to his filmography.

Presently, Kunal is finalizing the shooting locations for the film. He hasn’t zeroed down on the movie’s title yet, but is open to suggestions.

Pics - Shahid Kapoor get good experience to fly F-16 aircraft
The actor, who plays an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer in dad Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut Mausam had a thrilling experience of flying the F-16 IN Super Viper by Lockheed Martin, piloted by the American test pilot Paul ‘Bear’ Randall.
It was a 40-minute flight which had its share of turns, loops and tailspins.
“I wanted to get a first-hand experience of flying on a fighter aircraft. Thanks to Lockheed Martin, I have had the privilege of becoming the first actor to fly the F-16. Such an opportunity doesn’t come by as a civilian,” Shahid told the reporters after the flight.
Shahid was clearly overwhelmed by the experience.
“It's a great experience and I learnt how to fly a fighter (plane). Paul (the pilot) gave me lot of tips about flying such an awesome military aircraft and I am thankful to Lockheed Martin,” he said.

Shahid Kapoor playing as a pilot and fly in F 16 for Mausam
It is a huge honour and privilege and at the same time probably the coolest thing I’ve done yet in life… I am super excited about it," said Shahid in a statement.
Hollywood star Tom Cruise flew in a F 15 for his role in “Top Guns”.
“Mausam” is the directorial debut of his father, actor Pankaj Kapoor.
The film stars Sonam Kapoor in the female lead and some parts have been shot in Scotland.
Shahid Kapoor will be the world's first actor to fly the F-16 fighter
Uptill date, no actor has got a chance to sit in one of the fastest flying planes in the world.
A source revealed that the actor has been preparing for this for the last few months. "He's gone through rigorous training for the last one month and will continue to do so till his flying date. Apart from the training, there are a number of medical tests that need to be approved before he can actually sit in the cockpit.
Most of these tests are related to flying at a very high velocity and making sure the person doesn't suffer from motion sickness. Till now he's passed most of the medical tests and there are a couple more which will happen in the coming days."
Before Shahid gets into the cockpit he will run a flight simulation test which will be like flying the actual flight under the same conditions. He will then fly the plane at the Indian Air Force Station Yelahanka, as a part of the show which goes on air from February 9 to 13.
Other than Shahid, Ratan Tata has been the only other Indian to have got permission to fly the F16. Tata flew 20 minutes in a twin seat F-16 at the 2007 Aero India Show.
Incidentally, Shahid plays an Air Force pilot in his father Pankaj Kapoor's directorial debut Mausam, opposite Sonam Kapoor. As a part of his role, he's getting acquainted with the various aspects of fighter planes and also meeting air-force personnel to get in depth knowledge.
Sheetal Talwar producer of Mausam confirms, "Yes, Shahid will be flying the F 16. He will get the opportunity to feel the thrills and the major adrenaline rush that a pilot goes through during course of duty."

Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor now friends again?
There has been an uneasy chill between Shasha and Bebo ever since the two broke up during the days their film Jab We Met released. This chill was quite apparent whenever the duo was in close proximity of each other, be it at a party or an award function. They would avoid each other without fail.
But the scene at the 56th Filmfare Awards on Saturday night was different.
From what we hear, Kareena was walking by when she spotted Shahid and Shahrukh Khan having an animated conversation. Since she couldn’t walk past SRK without exchanging pleasantries, Kareena did approach the duo. What followed was a friendly chat between Shahid and Kareena after what seems like ages.
Of course, it would be an overstatement to say that the two are friends again. But at least now they won’t have to look through each other when face-to-face.

Sonam Kapoor Refused to KISS Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor had kissed his heroines in most of his films but Sonam Kapoor who is only few films old straightway refused when she was asked to lip-lock Shahid Kapoor during the Scotland shoot of ‘Mausam’. According to Sonam, the kissing scene was nowhere in the script. When the script was narrated to her by Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur, he did not mention any such intimate scene. So, she lost her cool when was asked to do the same at the last minute and hence she flatly refused.A source from the unit said, "Sonam was taken aback when the director (and co-star Shahid`s dad Pankaj) told her about it. She flatly refused."
However, Sonam became more annoyed when she came to know that it was Shahid’s idea to add the kissing scene. When she was asked to do the same, she lost her temper and created a scene on the set of ‘Mausam’ making situation difficult for others to control. Unable to deal with the situation, Pankaj later called her dad Anil Kapoor to calm down his daughter.
Interestingly, the source further added, "It was at Shahid`s behest that a kissing scene was created. He put forth the idea to his father who complied with his request. Shahid feels that like Aamir Khan he, too, should kiss all his heroines. He felt it would add more passion to the scene."
However, Sonam said, "There was no kissing scene in Mausam. It`s complete fabrication that I refused to do such a scene."
But the source says, "When Sonam realized that it was her hero`s demand, she became even more adamant about not doing the kiss and was in no mood to listen to anyone on the subject."

Shahid Kapoor is Scared of Being 'Bekaraar' in 'Paathshala'
From a poor dance student forced to live in his car to a sensitive school teacher trying to do what is best for his pupils, Shahid Kapoor takes a big leap into the world of adults with his role in director Milind Ukey’s upcoming movie "Paathshala."
After playing an ambitious dancer in "Chance Pe Dance" alongside Genelia D’Souza, Shahid is taking on a more serious role in the forthcoming drama "Paathshala."
The flick that mixes drama with comedy, talks about a school teacher’s life trying to teach kids in today’s Indian education system. It packs in emotions and laughter and ends with a strong message for adults and children alike.
And Shahid’s role in "Paathshala" is not too different from Aamir Khan’s role in the 2007 movie "Taare Zameen Par." But with all the problems that India’s education system is facing today, there cannot be too many movies on this subject.
"I would happily admit that "Paathshala" is inspired by "Taare Zameen Par," except for the fact that "Paathshala" was conceived and written a year ago. It’s about a sensitive teacher’s interaction with a group of kids," Shahid’s friend and producer, Ahmed Khan, told IANS.
"I’ve signed some really talented kids like Sweeney Khare from "Cheeni Kum," Ali Haji from "Fanaa" and Dwij Yadav from "Nanhe Jaisalmer." We’re really fortunate to suddenly have so many talented kids in our cinema. So why not put them to creative use? It’s about time we addressed issues regarding children in a serious but entertaining way," he added.
The drama also stars Nana Patekar, Sushant Singh, "De Dana Dan" actor Suniel Shetty, Shraddha Arya, Ayesha Takia, and Avika Gor.
So check out Shahid Kapoor in "Bekaraar" from "Paathshala" and tell us what you think; will you catch the movie when it hits theaters on April 9?

Shahid and Kareena break their Silence
Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor
Recently, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan hugged and patched up; even Kareena has ended her cold war with Aishwarya. All of this happened at Karan Johar’s birthday party last year. Karan has taken his role asBollywood Peacemaker to the next level. Last week, Karan played a catalyst, making Shahid and Kareena not only acknowledge each other’s presence, but also strike up a conversation. The patch up took place at Shahrukh’s bungalow, Mannat, where King Khan had his celebration of My Name Is Khan.
A source said, “Shahid and Kareena came face to face, everyone thought they would simply ignore each other like they have done so many times in the past. But this time, Karan happened to be present right there and instead of marching past each other they slowed down for a bit. And the rest, as they say, is history.” They both had a warm exchange and even Saif joined them later. Kareena and Shahid were both unavailable for comments. Kareena’s spokesperson said, “Kareena has no problem with anybody, including Shahid.”

Shahid Kapoor requests producer to postpone ‘Milenge Milenge’ release
Shahid Kapoor has three back-to-back releases in the coming months including ‘Paathshaala’ and Yash Raj Films’ ‘Badmaash Company’. As such, Shahid feels that it will affect the performance of all the films and also it will be difficult for him to concentrate on the promotion of all of them together. As a result, Shahid requested the producer of his ‘Milenge Milenge’ to shift the release date of the film to sometime later. The movie has been under making for a long 5 year period and stars his ex-love Kareena Kapoor opposite him.
Boney confirms the news as he says, “Yes. I have postponed Milenge Milenge from April 2 and Shahid did tell me to postpone the film as he felt that for three films to release at the same time would make all suffer and also cut into the promotional events but he also said that the final decision is mine.”
Boney has now postponed his film from April 2 this year to an indefinite date. He is expected to announce the release date in the coming week.

Shahid to pay tribute to Michael Jackson
Shahid Kapoor is all set to pay tribute to the Queen of Pop Michael Jackson by performing live at Filmfare awards night.
Shahid says, “The Filmfare organizers felt I could do the Michael Jackson tribute. And I took up the challenge.
“We didn’t have much time to rehearse, only four days. But I’ve grown up watching MJ’s music videos, am a huge fan, so it wasn’t difficult to master the choreography. I will be paying a tribute, not copying MJ. But it is better not to adulterate his steps.”
Shahid will be performing live at the awards night, while other celebrities will have their acts pre-recorded.
Shahid says, “Yes, I’ll be going live… an eight-minute homage. I love dancing on stage. In India, there’s no specific culture for stage performances.
“Out West, there’s a huge market for live performances. Their films don’t have songs and dances. Their pop stars have a vibrant stage culture. So, stage performances are a huge market in the West.”
Looking forward to see Shahid transform in Michael Jackson.
