'Thank You' movie first look

'Thank You' movie first look: Husbands will be sorry… Wives say thank you - this is what the poster of the film Thank You says. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film is an out-and-out comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan, Celina Jaitley, Sunil Shetty and Rimi Sen.

Sonam is paired opposite Akki for the first time. She plays a tennis player while Akki is a playboy who falls in love with her. The film is shot in exotic locales of Canada: Vancouver and Niagra Falls.

Sonam has posted many photographs from the sets of Thank You on her Twitter account. She looks awesome with Akshay and that is also the USP of the film. The bombshell Mallika Sherawat has been roped in to do an item song in the film.

We hope Anees-Akshay pair to do some dhamaal with Thank You at box office, repeating the success story of films like Welcome and Singh Is Kinng.

‘Mausam’ first look: Sonam Kapoor gorgeous with Pankaj: Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut Mausam is riding high on buzz ever since the film was announced. Initially the makers couldn’t finalize the female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor, but then Sonam Kapoor bagged the part.

The fashionista takes a good care of her styling in all her films and since Mausam is one of the biggest films of the year, her fans are curious about her looks in the film.It's learnt that for some parts in the film, Sonam has worn elaborate dresses like gowns.

Recently, it was heard that Sonam is irked with the slow progress of Mausam and that she has asked her father Anil Kapoor to look into the matter. Shahid, while talking to a daily, denies that their fathers are going to meet. He praised Sonam for her work and that she is very accommodating. However, the actor did admit the hitch in the project.

In spite of problems the movie is expected to release by mid of the year. Though Sonam is physically tall in comparison to Shahid, their pairing is a novelty for the film. The two have really worked hard for it and Sonam has even attended workshops with Pankaj.

Sonam Kapoor Refused to KISS Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor had kissed his heroines in most of his films but Sonam Kapoor who is only few films old straightway refused when she was asked to lip-lock Shahid Kapoor during the Scotland shoot of ‘Mausam’. According to Sonam, the kissing scene was nowhere in the script. When the script was narrated to her by Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur, he did not mention any such intimate scene. So, she lost her cool when was asked to do the same at the last minute and hence she flatly refused.

A source from the unit said, "Sonam was taken aback when the director (and co-star Shahid`s dad Pankaj) told her about it. She flatly refused."

However, Sonam became more annoyed when she came to know that it was Shahid’s idea to add the kissing scene. When she was asked to do the same, she lost her temper and created a scene on the set of ‘Mausam’ making situation difficult for others to control. Unable to deal with the situation, Pankaj later called her dad Anil Kapoor to calm down his daughter.

Interestingly, the source further added, "It was at Shahid`s behest that a kissing scene was created. He put forth the idea to his father who complied with his request. Shahid feels that like Aamir Khan he, too, should kiss all his heroines. He felt it would add more passion to the scene."

However, Sonam said, "There was no kissing scene in Mausam. It`s complete fabrication that I refused to do such a scene."

But the source says, "When Sonam realized that it was her hero`s demand, she became even more adamant about not doing the kiss and was in no mood to listen to anyone on the subject."

Sonam in love with Punit Malhotra

Bollywood’s new love story in process. The gorgeous Sonam kapoor is in love with director Punit Malhotra!! Punit Malhotra is directing Sonam Kapoor in ‘I hate luv stories’.

During the shooting, both indulge in chatting which does not go well with Punit’s uncle Manish Malhotra and producer Karan Johar. They advise Punit to concentrate only on work.

The two became serious about their love during their New Zealand schedule. Source says, “Punit was constantly taking Sonam’s photos and telling her how gorgeous she looked. Whenever they weren’t shooting, the two would go out and try new places for dinner. In fact, Sonam even told her sister Rhea about Punit.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar is well aware of the love between Sonam and Punit and warned him against Sonam as she is very moody and short temper.

Sonam Kapoor to be the female lead for ‘Mausam’

Pankaj Kapoor had a number of options in his mind for the female lead of his project ‘Mausam’ opposite his son Shahid Kapoor right from Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi, Govinda’s daughter Narmada, to Alyque Padamsee’s daughter Shazahn Padamsee and Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor.

Among all the star daughters who were strong contenders for the role, the one who bags in the role is Sonam Kapoor who has the vote of not only all the unit members of the film but also of Pankaj’s wife Supriya Pathak who had developed a fondness for the girl while shooting for ‘Delhi 6’ along with her.

It may be mentioned here that Sonam was chosen for the film without an audition.

Sonam to work with Akshay Kumar

The new on screen pair of Bollywood is Sonam Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. According to reports, Sonam Kapoor is in talks with director Anees Bazmee to be cast opposite Akshay Kumar in his next movie, titled Thank You. Akki is a best friend of Anil Kapoor and cannot stop praising Sonam and her acting skills.

A source also revealed that, “Thank You is a romantic comedy and will see Sonam in a totally different role.” Earlier the director was interested in casting Katrina for the role. However, her dates were clashing with her upcoming movie sequel of Dostana. This will not be the first time when Akshay and Sonam are considered together for a role. Sometime ago even Farah Khan was planning to cast Sonam in Tees Maar Khan instead of Katrina.

The movie Thank You will be on the floors by midyear and Sonam will be playing a double role. A close source to Sonam says, “It is a comic caper in true Anees Bazmee style. Sonam has already read the script but is still to make a final decision. At the moment she is in New Zealand shooting for I Hate Luv Storys.” When contacted, Anil Kapoor denied the news of Sonam doing any such movie with Akshay.
