Planning for Valentine's Day Celebration of Shilpa Shetty: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is planning to make her Valentine's Day celebration meaningful by spreading love among underprivileged children.

The 35-year-old, who co-owns a chain of IOSIS Medispa along with her friend Kiran Bawa, shared her plans on Twitter.

She wrote: "For Valentines we gifting LOVE 2 Street Kids by sharing 10% of al Feb bills at IOSIS. Pl tk a spa & make your contrbtn. Call +91 22-42683636 (sic)."
It's an unusual way of celebrating the day of love, but one wonders what are her romantic plans with her businessman husband, Raj Kundra.

Yesterday Shilpa Shetty spent her wedding anniversary in Dubai with hubby Raj Kundra. They celebrated it at their new home on the 19^th floor of the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa.

A close soruce to the actress says, “Shilpa was thrilled when Raj gave this luxury apartment to her as a gift. This was a wedding anniversary gift for her.”

Raj gave her the keys a week before their anniversary in Mumbai. She had been to Dubai a few months before, and she simply loved the building and expressed her wish of living there.

The couple took a three-day break for celebrating their anniversary. Raj had planned a lot of things for Shilpa along with a lavish dinner and a few surprises along with it. Shetty will be designing the interiors of their new apartment. After this, she will be off to Bangkok to shoot a shampoo commercial.

The sourse further added, “Shilpa suddenly got a 103-degree temperature on Staurday night and a bad attack of pharyngitis. Though the fever was normal till Sunday evening, her voice had gone completely.”

To give a grand feel on the closing day, the backdrop of the majestic set welcomed Shilpa on a stunning white lehenga and a net blouse. The entry of the ramp was decorated with larger-than-life trees and the show area was lit with green, blue, orange, yellow and red lights.White jute was used to construct the entire ramp and white stripes were used for the ceilings. Tarun opted for his best style ‘contemporary designs with western silhouettes’ for the grand finale.An elated Shilpa was quoted saying that Tarun is more like a family to her and he brings out a new avatar in her every time so she loves to work for him.Coming to Chitrangada, she was looking like an epitome of Indianness with silk blush gauze saree encrusted with crystallised elements.Tarun termed his collection as ‘New Democracry’, which is aimed at offering a new direction to India’s textiles, prints, fabrics and colors. The designer wanted to revive the lost Indianness in fashion industry. With his latest collection, Tarun wanted to bring back the use of Indian handlooms and drapes.The designer said that he takes inspiration of Indianness from the poor and the lower class, who represent the actual India. Well, it sounds little contradictory because these collections are being presented by two elite class actress like Shilpa and Chitrangada!

They recently announced the opening of their new nightclub called ‘Royalty’ in Mumbai at the same place where popular hotspot ‘Poison’ was earlier situated.

In the bash thrown at the club on Saturday, Shilpa and Raj invited who’s who of Bollywood including Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Harman Baweja, Ameesha, Kabir Bedi, Shamita Shetty and Jackie Shroff along with Neha Dupia, Manish Malhotra, Karan Johar, Rocky S, Kabir Bedi, Arpita Khan, Rahul Bose, Jackie Shroff, Claudia Celsia, Chunky Pandey, Adnan Sami, Ila Arun and many other small screen stars. Few cricketers from Rajasthan Royals team had also graced the launch.

The launch of the club, Royalty had her friends and colleagues from the B-town like Sanjay Dutt, Manyata Dutt, Fardeen Khan, David Dhawan, Amisha Patel, Karan Johar in the guest list. In spite Rajasthan Royals’ loss, Shilpa was all geared up to celebrate the opening of her club.

Newlywed Shilpa Shetty sure was in a prancing mood as she posed for the cameras at last night’s IPL red carpet event at Tote. The IPL team owner donned an extremely tight, turquoise dress with black high heels.

And it sure looked like the actress had an amazing time with hubby Raj Kundra. Kudos to Shilpa for getting into that dress, it must have taken hours of yoga to fit into the very small number! And Shilpa was in a very good mood!

"IPL dinner tonight,grand evening planned by Lalit.performances by Lional ritchie,Akon and more..so lookin fwd to meetin the IPL family..," the Twitter newcomer tweeted.

But the "Dostana" item girl almost didn’t make it to the party as her plane was delayed and she took to her newly opened Twitter account to tell fans:

"Air traffic,landed late terrible traffic so reached home late!got ready in record time!On my way to the Party now.phew!:)"

Once she arrives though the business woman partied all night long alongside her players and shared some of her thoughts on Twitter:

"The boys making the best of tonites bash before the maches begin..Shane is a very strict capt.no late nights once the games begin:). Shamita lookin Hot tonite;)Met a lot of other players frm other teams..nice to c the camaraderie betw them."

The proud IPL team owner is known for her glam fashion picks and last night was no exception! Shilpa didn’t seem to suffer from wearing a very tight attire as she pranced around the cameras on the red carpet and posed playfully for all the photographers.

The choice of a turquoise-colored dress was indeed interesting and only a glamorous lady like Shilpa Shetty can pull off the sexy look! So with husband Raj by her side, she partied the night away hoping for her team to get a good start to the new season!

Shilpa and Sushmita at the DNA After Hrs Style Award

The DNA After Hrs Style awards were held on Wednesday February 17th which witnessed the presence of the country’s beautiful people come together under one roof. The awards were presented by Volkswagen at The Intercontinental, the Lalit. The panel of judges comprised of filmmaker Karan Johar, designer Manish Malhotra, supermodel Ujjwala Raut and author and columnist Shobhaa De. There were over 20 awards in various categories.

The whos who of Bollywood fraternity attended the award function in their style quotient. Shilpa Shetty came attired in a silver and pink sari which she paired with a silver Leiber minaudiere. Sonam Kapoor wore a vintage Victor Costa dress along with ankle booties. Sushmita Sen who also won the style award stuck to her comfortable black zone. Shahid Kapoor sported a casual do and also swept away a style award for his fashion sense.

Shilpa signs Nagesh Kukunoor to direct her film

Shilpa Shetty has been planning a film for a very long time. The beautiful actress has signed a deal with Nagesh Kukunoor, he will be directing a film for her production house. Nagesh was one of those few people who had attended Shilpa’s wedding reception in November 2009. Currently Shilpa is very busy her Indian Premier League pursuits, Shilpa is very keen to get her S2 Global Productions started.

Since the time she got back from her honeymoon, Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra are discussing about their production house. A close source to Shilpa confirms saying, “yes, she has signed him. Nagesh Kukunoor’s project with Shilpa is not a serious topic but it is beautiful love story. She feels that he is the right choice with the sensibilities needed for the project.”

Shilpa will not be acting in her production. She is planning to rope in some leading stars from bollywood. Shilpa was very keen on re-launching her sister Shamita Shetty, but she has yet not finalized about the casting.

Shilpa: We don’t owe an explanation to Pakistani Cricketers

Team owners refrained from selecting Pakistani cricketers for the upcoming season of Indian Premiere League(IPL) while this was not taken well by the media of both the nations, Shilpa Shetty believes that the team owners don’t owe an explanation to Pakistani cricketers.

She says, “We don’t owe an explanation on our decision on Pakistani players. The reasons for dropping are understandable in the current scenario. We would like the media and the people to react to such situations more sensibly.”

“We wanted the players to be in the country and at that point of time we were more worried about security. We did not want to take onus for their security.”

Kings XI Punjab team owner Preity Zinta referring brouhaha about droppingPakistani cricketers said, “They have just sensationalized the issue. We request the country to collectively handle the situation sensibly.”
